It was really just a question of when

On Friday Russian troops were sent into Abkhazia as a bombing campaign was heard across Georgia. Since its independence this ex soviet republic has tried to retake South Ossetia region, resulting in great conflict with Russia.
As predicted state of war has been declared in Georgia, hell knows where this will end.

3 years ago Georgia's Prime Minister was found dead and my radio was playing Post Industrial Boys. This is what I posted then, it just suits better now.

"Georgia is a post-communist phantom -- a pipeline in Off-Europe. A projection screen. There is a 5-hour time difference between London and Tbilisi. Tbilisi starts singing while America and Western Europe are still asleep. Post-industrial: The fifth Kondratieff wave will see the transition from hardware to software. Marx is on the finish line, somewhere between the greater and smaller Caucasus. Oil is entropy, ashes. 'Reproduction of what cannot be transformed' (Paul Valééry) (sic). Survival in global capitalism. Post-industrialjoys. Streams. Sounds."
